Full Text

Sir,

I read the recent publication on Brόckner's test as a screening modality for anisometropia and strabismus with great interest. [1] Amitava et al. concluded, "MBT is highly accurate and useful for ruling in anisometropia and strabismus in children who fail 6/9 Snellen". [1] I agree with Amitava et al. in that Brόckner's test might be a good screening test. However, there are some points to be discussed. First, the cost-effectiveness of this test is very interesting. It is useful to know this aspect. Second, this is a very old test that is mentioned to be useful for this problem in very young children. [2]
